Summary Of Nothing Will Ever Be Sexy Again By Alexandra Petri
Journalist, Alexandra Petri, in her article, “Ladies, Let’s be Reasonable about #MeToo or Nothing will ever be Sexy Again”, addresses the problems facing women today, especially in terms of sexual harassment. Petri’s purpose is to show those who disagree with the #MeToo movement the true dangers facing women and why the importance of this movement has risen urgently. She adopts a patronizing tone in order to explain how the protests against the battle being fought against sexual misconduct are cavil and egocentric. The author alludes to the French Revolution in order to abate the protests against the movement that weaken the robustness of it. Through this reference, the reader connects tragic deaths caused by the guillotine in the French
