Summary Of John Steinbeck's Of Mice And Men
The novel, Of Mice and Men, written by John Steinbeck, is an extraordinary story of two men who travel together through tough situations and remain loyal to one another. They develop a strong friendship and share many qualities. My best friend, Alla, and I have known each other for over seven years and we have a strong bond. What binds us together are our differences and loyalty, just like Lennie and George, but unlike them, we have different dreams.
George and Lennie are two very different characters. George is described as a "slim, small, quick, dark-featured, and restless man with sharp, strong features" (Steinbeck 2). Lennie is the exact opposite, described as a huge man with a shapeless face, with large, pale eyes, and with wide, sloping

They have a dream of owning their own little house and lots of land with a farm filled with animals and gardens. A place where they could go and do whatever they want without anyone having to boss them around. George and Lennie await the freedom and independence they deserve after working long and hard. They constantly remind each other of their dreams and goals and take the steps to make it come true.
My friend and I are a part of a large amount of those who do not share dreams. We have different plans for the future. I'm not sure of what I want to do as I get older, but Alla plans to become a world-known artist or writer that interests and entertains people with her pieces. She dreams to inspire and encourage others to do good. Despite the fact that we have different dreams, we plan to positively motivate and impact the world.
The novel Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck tells the story of two men, Lennie and George, who travel together and remain friends through many hardships they go through. Their friendship grows stronger and they share many qualities. My best friend, Alla, and I share a few of those qualities with George and Lennie. Our loyalty, differences, and dreams continually build up our friendships and drive us closer
