Summary Of Alison's Trial Of Symbicort

Alison was seen today following her trial of Symbicort. She has had a great response to this and has certainly reduced her Ventolin use to about 4-5 times per week from her 4-5 times per day. She still, however, believes she has mild limitation with exercise and is having occasional nocturnal symptoms which are relieved by Ventolin.

The allergy testing has shown significant atopy to horses, cats, dust mite, rye grass, couch grass and Aspergillus. The obvious concern her is her ongoing exposure to horses and given that she does also have allergic symptoms around her guinea pigs, they are likely to be contributing as well. They do have a dog around, a Cavoodle, but she has no obvious allergies to this.
