Research on Oriental Medicine and Psychotherapy
Standard Chinese Medicine texts*, which provide the basis of TCM education in
Australia, include ample discussion on the emotional correspondences of the Zang Fu and the Five Phases. Extrapolation of these frameworks into the realm of psychotherapy is rare. A notable exception is Pulses and Impulses which offers a sophisticated analysis of the emotional correspondences of the Zang Fu (Townsend & Dedonna, 1990, pages 126148).
