Having a school uniform isn’t ideal to every student, having to wear the same clothes over and over again everyday. “A female student at Buchanan High School said students are fighting back-not only because they feel they’re not free to express themselves, but also because they believe that clothing rules shouldn’t be different between genders” (Gabrielle Sorta). Not only do students not have the right to express themselves through clothing items, but based on gender they’re extremely restricted from being different.

School uniforms are just another way students will rebel in school. Students should have the right to wear what they want without being judged on being a “distraction”. The no showing shoulder policy was enforced because it was a distraction to boys. Which is targeted to girls becoming sexist. A girl must always covered her shoulders or she'll be dresscoded.
