St. Paul was a prominent missionary leader who had a profound impact upon the early Christian movement as a whole. St. Paul had without a doubt androcentric views, but was not a misogynist. In the New Testament a substantial part of the biblical passages used are from the corpus paulinum (NABRE). Many passages are highly demeaning towards women, but if you take a closer look, you’ll see that St. Paul shows nothing but a profound gratitude for women.
