Lives are Saved

Sport hunting is a topic that is highly debated in the US today. People have many different opinions on whether it should be illegal, or remain the same. I believe that sport hunting is unfair, not right, and should be illegal.
Some reasons several people believe that sport hunting is okay and necessary is because they think it reduces population and teaches people how to survive in the wilderness. It is fair to have this opinion, since if you are on a plane that crashes, or get lost in the woods on a trip, you would have the skills to hunt. Personally, I think that the morality of hunting depends on the situation. If the hunter is strictly doing his job of providing food for his family and community, then that is fine. However, if they are doing it for the thrill and for pleasure and they aren't even going to eat what they kill, then these people need to take a moment to step back and realize that what they are doing is in no way right and they are the people giving genuine hunters a poor…

The topic I choose for my essay is how bow hunting is different than gun hunting. Hunting in general is one of my favorite things to do. Getting everything ready for archery season is a lot more time consuming than it is for gun season. Bows take a lot more practice to get set perfectly for a great aim. Guns are more easily sighted than bows. Bow hunting also take more strategy and patients because you have to wait on the deer to get closer to you. With a gun you have a farther range to shoot. Also the location of your stand is different with bow hunting. You have to make sure you have open places with to branches covering your shooting area. Gun hunting you can shoot threw brush and small limbs. There are so many differences in bow and gun…

I am against the big game trophy hunting for many reasons supported by quotes from articles about the story, TMDG. Something so small and harmless may be thought as just a hobby, but in the end, it is a hobby that affects way more. Animals and humans can both receive harm when people hunt; especially when it involves many deaths and drastic changes in someone's life. Throughout the articles I read, I found that big game trophy hunting is quite dangerous; adding to my original thought about being against it.…

“ 61 people have been killed by black bears while hundreds of black bears have been killed by hunters in New Jersey” Does the bear hunt really matter that much? The bear hunt isn’t necessary, and some people may not believe this but it doesn’t change anything. Because of new technology and innovative designs, many of today's hunting stands are easier to use, safer, and more versatile than early models and home built blinds. Public debates about trophy hunting often centers on the question of the morality of recreational hunting or the extent to which the money paid by sportsmen seeking a trophy animal provides a conservation benefit to the overall population of game animals and the rural economies where the game is hunted. Bears, cougars, deer, foxes, and other animals who are chased, trapped, and even killed by dogs during hunts are not the only ones to suffer from this variant of the “sport.” Hunting for fun destroys property and injure or kill horses, cows, dogs, cats, hikers, and other hunters (Trophy…
