Human beings are very adoptable. We can live in most climates of the world. In the past, people tended to stay in the place they were born, but now we move easily form countryside to city, from one part of a country to another, and even from country to country. Each place has its own customs and ways of life, and countries also have different languages. When I moved from Cambodia to United State of American, I have to several adjustments to my life. Speaking English is my first adjustment to live in the U.S. Speaking another different language form Cambodian language provides me some difficulties. Indeed, the main difficulty is my pronunciation. Many people find it hard to understand what I want to say because of my wrong pronunciation. Moreover, slang language is another problem. When I was in Cambodia, I often speak the normal language that most Cambodian use, but not the slang language like in U.S. I found it really hard for me to understand those slang language. Eating American food is another adaptation that I found when I move to U.S. The kinds of American food are away far different from Cambodian food. For instance, Cambodian people always have rice with their meal everyday, while the U.S. people consider rice as the special food, and they just eat it sometime. It is ok when I have diner at home because I can have rice as much as I want. But when I go to restaurants, I have to eat other food, but not the rice. In Addition, Cambodian people rarely use cheese as the ingredient of their food. But as I know, the U.S. people use cheese more often than Cambodian people. In Cambodia, I did not like eating cheese, but as I move to U.S., I have to change my taste of food, so I have to eat cheese as the people here do. Climate is the last adjustment that I face when I am in U.S. The weather here is very different from the weather in Cambodia.
