Before approaching the project objectives, one must first understand a little background on the project. What is this company? Software Solutions started in Idaho as a small company, family owned. Through the 1980s, the company was able to provide reliable software solutions to its customers, creating one of the first user-friendly inventory tracking software solutions to the farmers. Each year, the need for this great inventory tracking software increased. Subsequently, new versions released each year. The company expanded its database software customizable to each of the users. The company was growing so fast that no longer could the small family support this software alone. After much thought the family decided it was time to rent an office space, hire outside help, and build a small help desk for software support. A successful project will ensure constant support for the product, reinforce customer confidence, and in return increase revenue.…

In 1971, a husband and wife, Aden and Marjorie Meinel, patented an idea to produce solar panels in the Mojave Desert. The solar panels they proposed were to stretch through the Mojave Desert for 5,000 miles and would collect 1,000,000 megawatts of electrical power. The electrical energy would then be stored in a manufacturing facility locally so that the solar energy could be converted and used by millions of people. The Meinel’s proposal was dismissed in the 1970’s, but recently, solar panel plants have begun to sprout in the Mojave Desert. There are currently fourteen pending solar projects that have been proposed to be built in the Mojave Desert. There are also currently already four solar plants built there.…

Energy costs of the plant are currently at an annual total of $21,280,000. In 2009, however, this number will decrease substantially due to the expired surcharge. Assuming the company continues to use the same amount of energy it does now, energy costs will still amount to about $1,300,000 in 2009. I believe our answer to this problem is adopting solar power. Although a new technology, many large and successful corporations that have been around for a long time have made the transition to solar energy because of its costly benefits. These companies include Macy’s, Wal Mart, Apple and Ikea. The success of these corporations at significantly saving on energy costs through this transition can be used as a benchmark for Scott’s Miracle-Gro. Currently the initial costs of installing solar power panels have decreased due to its growing…

Originating in the Bible, there is a belief that children are born bearing the weight of their parents sins. This idea is encompassed in the novel The Shadow of the Wind by Ruiz Zafon about a young boy named Daniel, who encounters a book that changes his life. Enlisting the help of multiple people, Daniel is able to uncover many of mysteries surrounding the book, The Shadow of the Wind, and its arcane author, Julian Carax.
