Sofka Skipwith Research Paper
In 1907 a woman named Sofka Skipwith was born, as a daughter and granddaughter of a Prince she was a woman of power. When the French army was defeated in June 1940 she was arrested by the Germans in November of the same year. At the start of 1943 when 280 Jews holding a passport arrived in Vittle they found that many of the passports had forged. Later her and Madeleine did everything they could to help the Jews out by getting fake documents made by the French Resistance, they tried by inserting a list of name into toothpaste tubes. Unfortunately the Germans were checking the passports and throwed anyone in prison if they were Jew. However in April and August they got everyone one except for 60 people the rest were deported into two groups

    Eliezer Wiesel, a boy from Sighet, has survived a horrible experience in the hands of the Germans.
