Evie and her brother Oscar discover their godparents (Hannah and Zac) have begun an intimate relationship. This angers the siblings, as they’re concerned for who will look after them if they break up due to the fact that their parents passed away and are being taken care of by the Hannah and Zac.
Two brothers discuss a drink-spiking incident in which one brother spiked the other brothers girlfriends (Maddy) drink. This causes great conflict between the couple and the two brothers.

Question 2: Identify what the episodes reveal about continuity and change in Australian society in relation to the concepts power, authority, gender, and technology.
Power: In episode 5892 we view the concept of Power in Australian society when Lea fires Chris from working at her restaurant once he becomes overpowering and bossy. Chris lingers around to tell Lea how to run her business, making Lea annoyed as she doesn’t appreciate his behavior and kicks him out. This causes much conflict and results in an argument. In this scene we see the continuity in a Australian workplace where management have the power within the environment to control what decisions are made and what actions take place, for example hiring and firing a employee. The Australian workplace has had a minimal change in regards to male and female roles; there has been a minor rise in female business owners, in reference to Lea. In one particular scene, we see her confessing to her mother Roo, that she had sexual relations with her boyfriend and asks if she is mad that their relationship has developed into an intimate relationship. This conveys the concept of Authority as we see Maddy become vulnerable, self-conscious about her actions, her mothers reactions and opinions to this situation. Parents continuing to have authority over their children by setting boundaries and rules in which their children are expected to comply by can reflect continuity in Australian culture. An example of parental authority is parents advising their children on abstinence until the legal age or even marriage.
