1) Agency’ s purpose and number of clients.
For Bluegrass mental health broad is to provide therapy for substance abuse services for all population within central Kentucky. Each counselor in this office averages about one hundred and sometimes it is more. There are about 12 counselors so we serve 16 counties.
2) Qualifications to be eligible for agency’s services.
Bluegrass mental health serves anybody that volunteer to come in on their own. They get appointment on our 800 line, before they come in, who want to be seen about depression, anxiety, psychotic disorders, or any other mental disorder. Department of Basic Services sends people over to be assets. When they are being investigated also the courts send people down to be assets. Aside for mental abuse they also do substance abuse. Also have parenting classes. Anyone who wants treatment, we will find a way to help them.
3) Agency’a s funding source and organizational structure.
They do all insurances plus Medicaid. What we get from Medicaid we balance out what we don’t get from some of our clients that can’t pay. A big bunch of people that pay cash out of pocket is also put in helping the ones who can’t pay. They go by a sliding scale on how much the client makes. If they have no or little money coming in, some will pay zero. Sometimes when they have money coming in and can’t afford our regular fee, we drop it even further, which balances it all out.
All the under links of each office serve under the office supervisor clinical coordinator serves under the service area manager, this is the one who is over different counties. Then they have clinical coordinator at the top servicing all the counties. This person is over 5 counties, Powell, Estill, Madison, Bourbon, and Montgomery.
