Soccer Observation I watched my little cousin’s (Ivan) soccer game. It was not much of an intense game because it seemed like some kids were lost during the event. The parents were shouting at the sideline, and cheer on their kid whenever they got the ball. I was surprised the kids were able to hear them with the constant shouting. I saw a couple of players interacting with each other. They were not saying much, but how they wanted to finish the game so they could go home. A couple of their teammates were nervous, but they all wanted to win. It is my cousin’s second year playing with other kids, but my uncle thinks my cousin is too good for the kids his age. Two of my cousins were missing from the game because they had school activities, but I did notice a lot of moms shouting while the dads mainly sat and watched. The kids were playing team ball and passing often. During timeouts, the players would converse with each other while the coach explained stuff. It did not seem that the players were talking trash to the opponents, but I could not hear from the side. The game ended with my cousin’s team winning, and all the players were excited, yet tired. My cousin said that he had a good time playing, but got bored towards the end because the players were not tired since fatigue kicked in. I noticed players playing a bit more reckless towards the end, but I could do nothing to prevent it. My aunt and uncle were telling him that he played well, and that they might move him to play with kids a year older. He does not really care about that because he enjoys playing soccer. He said that the other team had some players that were mad because they were losing. I did not notice the frustration in the players, except for a kid that got a yellow card for bumping a kid into the ground. I went up to the parents of the kid (Jeff) that got a yellow card. I asked him if he was mad because they loss, and why he bumped the kid. Jeff said, “I bumped him
