Personally working for bureaucracy would affect my orientations to life in a positive way if the job was providing the human part to a job. Things such as child care this would be a huge plus for anyone in my position who has to pay for high cost childcare without the ease of checking in on your childcare during on breaks and lunch hours. It is referenced in our book that “this eases the strain on a parent, for while at work the can keep in touch with their own children.” This type of bureaucracy would work best to my advantage because I would be able to overall work better than in a more formal work environment. If I have job provided childcare I would be able to work longer productive days knowing my child is walking distance away. I would not be confined to hours of a childcare provider. I would be able to come in a hour earlier and stay an hour later with the ease of traveling to a childcare program or always worrying about my child. For a mother this takes a heavy burden off the shoulders of a working mom.
The other plus for working in a bureaucracy type of job is if the higher level manger had an active role in conflict resolution and worker empowerment. Companies have been trying to add the human factor to their company image for a while some fail while there are many that succeed. I believe with the added human to understand what makes a worker work better and then applying to the work environment would work best. I would work better and be confident with my end result if I knew I had a working team relationship with my fellow workers and higher executives. A more informal work environment works better because it’s not about orders and job titles it’s about getting the best end result possible for the task at hand.it is quoted in our books “employees in work teams are absent less work harder and are more productive.” This happens because people feel more connected to work and actually

    Max Weber, (often) credited with the birth of sociology, the science of social studies, said that the 'ideal bureaucracy' consisted of a system that was efficient, worked fast but yet remained precise, wasn't ambiguous, had knowledge of the files it held, continually discreet, has strict subordination, reduction of friction whilst maintaining the lowest possible material and production costs.     A major factor in showing the transfer to a system of post-bureaucracy is the change in attitudes regarding jobs and life time careers. Most people these days don’t want to be tied to a single career for their entire lives, especially not to the same company or firm. They want the freedom to change career paths later in life if they feel that it is necessary. As well as being in the same career path for one’s entire life, they do not want to be forced to work for the same company all their life.
