What did you learn from the meetings with your Project Mentor, including the presentation that you gave to your Project Mentor?
The topic I choose was of my interest, my mentor advised me to choose the topic of my own interest by which I am comfortable. His advice has been very successful to me in increasing my commitment and inspiration to be consistent in my work.
The first most initial thing that I have learnt from my mentor while meeting was to be decisive on my decision rather than getting surrounded by gloominess, emotionalism and being influenced by others. This was learnt when I although selected my topic but the main problem that I encountered was selecting the company when I was not able to find an appropriate company in domestic market with the required data to perform analysis, after taking the advice from my mentor that I could use my home country companies as well really worked for me.

I consider myself well trained and very experienced in certain fields. During interviews I have been asked about my "soft skills". It is usually worded with questions such as, what are your strengths? What are your weaknesses? One of my prominent soft skills is communication. This has been a great strength for me but has also brought challenges. I am a very outspoken person and I am always the first one to speak up. Peers and supervisors do not always appreciate this though. Being the first one to speak up does not allow time to collect and organize thoughts and what you are trying to communicate can come across harsh. Good communication is when you able to explain things calmly without a lot of emotion so it is easy for others to understand.…

In my opinion Servant Leadership behavior will constantly be a large attribute to the Competency-based leadership. Leadership competencies are leadership skills and behaviors that contribute to superior performance. Leaders are selected by their skills and abilities such as leading the organization, leading self, and leading others, but most of all posses the ability to train organize and complete duties to support and lift an organization by its standards and overall job task and goals. In order to lead an organization you must be able to manage the work, change, and policies. Be able to solve problems, make decisions, take risks, set visions and strategy and enhance business skills and knowledge. You should be able to understand and navigate the company and be able to influence others. When leading yourself first and foremost you should be able to manage yourself and be able to increase self-awareness, you should also be able to demonstrate ethics, integrity, display drive and purpose, be willing to learn something new every day and develop adaptability. In order to lead others number one you should be able to communicate effectively with other. As a leader you should value diversity and difference within the company and be able to build and maintain relationships with employees and know their strengths and weaknesses and apply work task to those appropriately. Competency based leadership leads to more precise staffing assessments and has a lesser amount of risk of unfairness or discrimination. However competency based leadership have its flaws. It can make it difficult for applicants to express themselves and they can be seen as being too firm.…
