Six sigma is based mainly on understanding the customer needs and expectations, disciplined use of facts and statistic analysis, and responsible approach for managing, improving and establishing new business and service processes. This thesis was carried out at Kamra Avionics and RADAR Factories (KARF) at Kamra. The factory is engaged in manufacturing and production of aerospace units. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate and make comparisons between Six Sigma and the existing way of working at KARF and to give recommendations, on what actions are needed, to efficiently implement Six Sigma.
The main aim of the study was to identify possible causes of delay in performing operating procedures on time and instituting effective interventions which would prevent delays in inspections of mechanical & electronics parts. To aid in the fulfillment of the purpose a practical DMAIC ( Define- Measure- Analyze-Improve-Control)
