Singer's Views On Abortion
1. Does Singer think there is an ethical difference between saving the girl in the puddle and saving a person's life in Bengal by giving a donation? With the understanding of reading the textbook, Singer feels that if it is in your power of to prevent something very bad from happening, then you ought to do so, without morally sacrificing anything else.
Whether it’s saving a child from drowning, or giving to charities to help save other people’s lives. It all insignificant. We cannot discriminate against anyone merely because someone is physically near or a person happens to be further away.
Do you agree with his argument? Yes, I agree we should accept the principles of impartiality, universalizability and equality fundamentally forward others.

    Abortion can be an issue that is seen as very sensitive because there’s so much controversy concerning this topic, Even though countries such as the United States have legalized the procedure, it is by no means widely accepted. Many individuals may not even know what the meaning of an abortion is; in the dictionary the definition of an abortion is the termination of pregnancy and expulsion of an embryo or of a fetus that is incapable of survival. Abortions are viewed in many different perspectives. Many individuals see it from a very positive or even negative point, some may see abortion as positive in cases involving rape victims, the health reasons, for example if the woman has AIDS the best thing to do would be to get an abortion because there would be no life ahead for the baby. Also women who have cancer cannot keep her unborn baby because it would put her life in danger while childbirth. In the case of some diseases, kidney disease, severe hypertension, sickle-cell anemia, severe diabetes, etc that can be life threatening, an abortion often helps to avoid serious medical complications And on the other hand some people may see it as negative because its eliminating an unwanted child and the fact that more and more younger women are using abortion as a birth control method. There are plenty of people who think that abortion is equal to killing a human being. But I believe that abortion should be allowed because every child should have a family that wants him or her. But unfortunately some children are born into families who don’t want them or are unable to support them because they are not economically stable and the child may be left abandoned.
