For my iconological response I interpreted from reading the section over the Spirt Spouse that this figure is a strong part of this culture. They believe that their spouse that they were once can be praised through this figure. Also this figure along with the spiritual side the material that is put on the figure represents the culture and they beliefs as well. The beads were probably made from the tribe, along with the plant fibers and the gold hollow beads.…

Savannah: Oh this? It is a yin-yang symbol. I keep it to remind me that the relationship between my husband and I is interdependent, we cannot exist without each other. I was considering putting on the necklace at times, but would chicken out, wondering if it were a trick and something really bad would happen. E.g. getting sucked into eternity. (I watch too many scary movies.) Then I gathered up all the courage I could find in my small, slim body, and picked the necklace up. I decided to examine it first, making sure it wasn’t a bomb or something. It had 1,000’s of beautiful diamonds all over it, and in the middle was a blue, light sapphire glowing. I put it around my small neck, being a little skeptical. It had an automatic latch, and at first was VERY heavy, but then instantly felt as light as a feather. All of a sudden my head was spinning, wait, NO, the room was spinning. A rainbow-tornado formed around me and a little pixie appeared. Not like a fairy-pixie, but a teddy-bear like pixie from books I had read as a kid. She was holding a small Atlas Moth box. She looked up at me and said,” Hi! I’m Crystal.” I was looking at her with my mouth as wide open as a whale. She jumped up and reconnected my lower lip with my upper lip. Then she said,” Um, here”, she handed me the box,” um, well are you gonna open it or not?” I looked down at the box, debating whether I should have listened to her or not. But I did. My mom's genes run in my blood, so. I opened the box and a swarm or beautiful Atlas Moths came out, spinning around me. Making me more dizzy and nauseous than I already was. I was amazed, looking at all of them, sparkling as they flew. Then….they all swarmed around me. Should I have listened to…

My necklace was a gift from my mom and I always wear it and rarely take it off. So I guess you could say it has that special effect to it when its around my neck since it was a gift. I always have a wallet in my back right pocket, ever since I was a little kid, even though I had nothing to put in it as a little kid but maybe some pictures and a dollar or two because nothing was more important than trying to be like dad with a wallet. Now I’m just about 17 and my wallet serves its purpose so its kind of like a necessity since I store my, cards, ID, and money inside that leather flap. A wallet probably doesn’t that important, since every man carries one but I am very protective of it since I earned everything in it and I have a mini panic…

Once she produces a sketch that she likes, she will get a wax mould created. This will allowed to see a more ‘real’ idea of the aesthetics of her ring. Now that she has her design she cull down her materials to the one that are most suitable to her piece, she’ll mess around and experiment with a few along the way. For this ring she used silver plated green. Silver is a beautiful, soft, white, lustrous metal thats strong, malleable and ductile. It is because of this materials softness that it must be alloyed with base metals like copper, as in the case of sterling silver (92.5% silver, 7.5% copper). If she's producing a collection, Sceats usually get her ideas from different places around the world or a specific adventure she's had. She states that her favourite part of the design process is picking which stone or marble shed like to use for her collection in this case the Amber Gem. Once she's decided on her material she gets it moulded. Ambers silver jewellery is often plated wit a thin coat of 0.999 fine silver to give the item a shiny finish. This process is called “flashing”. The 3 stones are now set on a silver ring and them gems are put in contrasting a colour…
