Should The Driving Age Be Raised To 18?
Here is why I believe you should be 18 to drive a car or a motor vehicle. Drivers under the age of 18 shouldn’t be driving. There are many reasons why the driving age should be raised.
In 2009 drivers aged 15-24 were involved in 112 fatal traffic crashes. 755 were serious injury crashes. 15-23 year old drivers were at fault for 1.3 billion dollars. Teens are more likely to take risk with their friends looking on. Some teens have the emotional maturity of an adult twice his or her age. Drivers 15-24 who have been awake for 17 hours or longer have the driving ability of a drunk driver.
