The gun laws in Colorado allow the people to carry concealed weapons if they pass a test and a background check. I believe that this law is not doing enough to stop shootings from happening. According to Procon.org, “Carrying a concealed handgun increases the chances of a confrontation escalating and turning lethal.” If this continues than people who have no criminal history would be allowed to carry firearms. The downside to this is shootings are much more likely to happen because there are more people out there with guns. If only the police officers and other authorities had fire arms there would be significantly less shootings because the only way you would be able to get weapons then is illegally, which makes the process of getting a
