Should Animal Testing Be Allowed
Should animal experimentation be permitted? Animal testing is used to ensure that products are safe for consumers. Unfortunately, many animals are seriously harmed in the process. Here's why we should save them. While many say that animal testing allows medicines to be created that later go on and aid human life, there is many more examples where medicines that were developed through testing on animals that went on to create horrible fatalities on humans. There was a case of a medicine that was developed then led to 10,000 babies being born with deformities as it did not function as expected on humans

Since animal's have a different anatomy than humans, it is risky to test any drugs on them, as they might not have the same effects when used by humans.

It should so be against the law because innocent animals are going through so much pain and horror. I can't believe the government is letting this happen even though it is so wrong because animals should be free to live as the creatures god created and they shouldn't be taken away from their homes and natural habitats just to live in tiny small gages for the rest of their lives because every living thing has feelings and they do too so they should not have to go through this for no reason. Many animal tests lead to pain on animals and a part of the tests are performed without any pain killers. Some tests lead to permanent injury or death. Animals can't speak their own opinion and if they could they would say no. I think that is one of the most cruel things ever, how would the doctors feel if they took one of their friends and started testing on

Do you want to see animals abused and killed sometimes for nothing? Animal testing is flawed and can produce very unreliable results. Around 26 million animals are used every year for scientific and commercial testing. These animals are used to determine the toxicity and effectiveness of medications before they test it on humans. Therefore animal testing should be banned.…

Though animal testing should be banned from ever being practiced or used again, people still view it as a necessity despite all of the evidence against it. Animal testing requires inhumane, unsanitary, unsafe, or cruel conditions that if done to humans would be outlawed since they either reduce the quality of life or cause disease or death. Seeing that animals are living, breathing creatures that want to survive just as much as people do, assuming that test conditions are not good for human kind, then they are not good for any living creatures. Furthermore, they are inherently wrong by nature. Tolerating animal cruelty promotes the same insensitivity that allows cruelty to people, such as serial killers and the early incidents of animal torture.…

An estimated 26 million animals are used every year in the United States fir various types of testing. These animals are used for scientific and commercial testing to develop medical treatments, determine toxicity of medications and chemicals, check the safety of products destined for human use and other biomedical or healthcare purposes. This testing on animals is cruel, inhumane and should be banned. It should be banned because the animals are held and live in inhumane conditions, it is harmful and at times lethal to the animals and there are other research method available that do not require animal testing.…

I am a seventh grade student at the amazing Warren Jr. High. One of the first reasons why we shouldn’t have animal testing is because animals are getting hurt or abused. Another reason why we shouldn’t have animal testing is drugs that pass animal tests are not necessarily safe on humans. The main idea of the essay is animal testing should be banned.…

When it comes to the topic of animal testing, most of us will readily agree that it is a debatable topic. Where this argument usually ends, however, is on the conversation if animal testing is necessary. Whereas some are convinced that using animals for testing has contributed to many lifesaving cures and treatments, others maintain that these animals are very different from humans and, therefore, make poor test subjects. My own view is these animals have produced many treatments, but not outcomes that are effective enough in the human body, therefore should not be using animals.…

Every year millions of animals are subjected to horrible unethical experimentations in order to advance medical science. Dogs, cats, monkeys, mice, and other animals are kept in dark rooms in cages while being exposed to various toxic and poisonous substances daily in order to test how the substance may react in humans. These poor creatures suffer from inhumane treatments and are denied any form of happiness, and these experiments should cease and alternatives should be used instead. Animal testing is a cruel and ineffective medical practice that produces unreliable results and those laboratories should use safer alternatives that will provide more accurate results.…

Animal testing is rarely successful since animals have different physiologies than humans. There has been many studies that have shown inaccuracy and unsuccess in animal testing. Studies show, “90 percent of medications approved for human use after animal testing later proved ineffective or harmful to humans in clinical trials” (Stop Animal Testing) and also, “Animal-tested drugs have killed, disabled or harmed millions of people and lead to costly delays as well” (Stop Animal Testing). It is evident that animal testing lacks accuracy and has dangerous consequences, therefore it should no longer be…

In animal testing, countless animals are experimented on and then killed after their use is up. Some are injured and will still live the remainder of their life in captivity. The doctors will not do anything to help the animals that are in pain that happen to be the reason because of them. It is the aspect of animals testing that many view as a major negative against the practice, as it seems that the animal died in vain because no direct benefit to humans occurred. Even though animals and humans have many things in common like how we both have the same organ system, there are also many things that are different between animals and humans. Many animals cannot handle or take the same medication as humans, most the surgeries that are operated on animals are just too strong for an animal to take so they end up dying or sick for the rest of their lives. (Animal Testing…

Laws have been passed in several countries to make the practice more “humane”. Drug testing using animals became more important in the 20th century. Issues such as “cruelty” to animals and the humane treatment of animals are valid concerns and hence the use of animals in experimental is greatly regulated. I think this stuff should be illegal. Labs that use mice, rats, birds, reptiles, and amphibians are exempted from the minimal protections under the animal welfare…

Animals are used as human experiments to see if a certain product can work or not. Animal testing is wrong on many different levels. If humans are not willing to use, test and experiment on themselves, why should one be allowed to test on an animal who has no say in what happens.…

Another reason is, “94% of drugs that pass animal tests fail human scientific trials.” So it’s not necessarily safe for humans after testing on animals. The commonly used LD50 (lethal dose 50) test involves finding out which amount of a chemical will kill 50% of the animals being used in the experiment. On the website ProCon.org they state that… “ The anatomic, metabolic, and cellular differences between animals and people make animals poor test subjects for humans.”. On the second website Udemy.com it talks about how… “ Since animals have different organisms than humans, they may not react in a reliable, consistent manner to a drug intended for human use.”. This means that animals “made” differently than humans, therefore, they are not perfect for testing because there could be major errors in the test. Animals do not react the same way as humans do, so they testing process could return inaccurate. In my opinion, if the tests do not turn out 100%, they should not be tested because there could be different outcomes.…

In the world of animal cruelty, there are plenty of controversial issues surrounding this topic. Out of all of them, animal testing would be the most controversial topic in dealing with animal cruelty. Scientists have been doing animal testing for many years, using animals as their guinea pigs. There is a controversy on whether animal testing is right or wrong. On one side, the article “Animal Testing and Its Gift to Humans” by Frankie Trull talks about, as said in the title, how animal testing is helpful in finding cures for human diseases and that we should continue in doing so. The article states “This extraordinary development wouldn’t have been possible without animal research” (Trull 2). This shows how animal testing has helped out in finding cures for many illnesses in humans. Without the help of animals, we wouldn’t have the cures we have today. On the other hand, some people believe that animal testing is wrong and shouldn’t be done. According to the article “Killing Animals and Humans,” it states “...many differences – both obvious and very subtle – between humans and other species make animal experiments a waste of time, effort, money and lives – both human and animal.” (Animal Aid 6). Why test on animals…

Some people believe animal testing is a necessary and useful way to test and discover new products, but I believe it is not. Millions of animals are dying or being injured just so scientists can experiment to find new substances and products for humans to use, which does not justify for the many lives being lost.…

Animal experimentation, animal research and animal practice all generally mean the same thing. One may be more familiar with the term animal testing. Animal testing has been a controversial topic between supporters and the adversary for quite some time, but animal testing is wrong, even if it helps find cures for illnesses. Between all the strong public opinions, hefty fines and likelihood of the tested drugs working on humans, it is best if animal testing comes to an end. Animal testing came to scientists back in 500 BC by Greeks. It has always been such a controversial topic, because of the harm that comes to the animals. Proponents to animal testing say that animal research is beneficial. They say that numerous life-saving treatments…
