Short Story: Portland Trail Blazers Vs. Cleveland Cavaliers
Portland Trail Blazers

“OH MY GOSH” I said. “I just won tickets to the Portland Trail Blazers vs the Cleveland Cavaliers.” I stated. I was so excited to win them from the raffle. I won 2 tickets and wanted to bring my dad since he always has to work and I don’t ever get to see him. I cannot wait till next month.
The event is December 29, 2016, tomorrow. My dad and I plan to leave at 1:30 am for the game.
Once we arrive the speaker guy says “Tonight we have our hometown Portland Trail blazers vs the traveling Cleveland Cavaliers.” It is packed tonight. Everyone screaming as loud as they possible can. I can’t wait for the game to actual start.
“Do you want to go get food or a shirt” my Dad asked.
“ Sure” I said. Now we start walking toward the food first. My dad and I both get a cheeseburger and a sprite. “The food is good but way too expensive!” My dad exclaimed. “I know, it's dumb.” I answer. We continue on to the merchandise but it takes forever because it looks like so is everyone else. So about 5 minutes later we get to the stands. It didn’t really matter though

Now it's time for tip-off. Blazers are leading at the end of the 1st quarter 31-21. I figured the Cavs would be winning. Starting the second the Cavs went on a run and went up 49-38 but Damian Lillard had 31 points and 5 assists. Now my dad and I go throw away the devoured popcorn and find are seats again. Starting the third they went back and forth with baskets but the Trail blazers finally managed to tie it going into the fourth 78-78. Starting the fourth Damian Lillard makes a off-balance three and the whole crowd erupts. We kept that momentum and won 111-97. Damian Lillard had 51 points and 10 assists. It was crazy. Afterwards my dad and I were walking back to the car and saw Damian Lillard. I had him sign my jersey it was awesome. I told him thank you. It was sad to have to go home. Not only leaving the awesome game but it will take

While it swarms the air the first thing that is noticed by most is the smell, one step in and the war, smell of deep fried food surrounds you. It would be overwhelming, but the vast stadium spreads out the aroma as much as possible. People immediately go on a quest to search for the scoreboard, but nobody looks for very long, because stretched from one twenty-yard line to the other lies the oversized HD scoreboard that is unrivaled by any other. Next to the mammoth scoreboard an Imax would look like a tablet, on each side of the main screen there is a smaller screen that is still monumental. Concrete walkways leading to the seats are lined with a tunnel of stores all displaying a lone navy blue star with a white outline. All of the walls are either navy blue or gray, the only other colors in the place come from the glare of the scoreboard’s lights. Every seat is a drop of water in a sea of blue, with the only blemish being the occasional fan for the opponent. At the base of all the grand stands lie a field that is precisely laid green AstroTurf with the only exception being the navy end zones at each end, it isn’t game ready yet. Theatrics for the national anthem and team entrances are set up randomly around the…

I went to a tailgate for the USC vs. Vanderbilt away game given by Carolina After Dark and I had a blast! I honestly did not know what to expect. I was not planning on going, but decided to meet two of my friends there right before halftime. I was pleasantly surprised. They had really cool music playing and there were people dancing everywhere. It was overall such a fun atmosphere. It took me awhile to find my friends because there were so many people. I was so surprised at how many people were there. There were no seats left near my friends so I sat on the floor next to them. They had two huge white screens that they were projecting the game onto. It was so cool when USC did something good because the whole crowd would act like they were really…

“What are you guys doing here?” I asked them and they just stared at KD and me. The stares started to get awkward and we were just standing there so KD passed the ball and told them to check it up. I was guarding Trey burke, point guard for the Utah Jazz and a former Michigan Wolverine so you already know I had to ball up on a fellow Michigan fan. I started off guarding him, but it was so hard! As soon as he got passed the ball he drove to the basket pushing me out of the way with ease and scored an easy bucket. “Can I get a foul?” I asked in disbelieve. They just rechecked the ball and we played on. The next play KD was defending Exum and got a steal off a pass that he tried to throw to Trey, he sprinted to the rim and drew both of them in so he kicked it out to me and I was wide open for a jump shot, I pulled up and knocked it down from downtown! The score was 3-2 with KD and I in the lead, I checked the ball and called for a screen, KD came up and set a nice screen that got my defender completely stuck, I took the opportunity and drove in for quick layup. The score was 5-2 with us in the lead still. After a few plays the score was 8-8, a tie game, I checked the ball and dribbled to the corner, "Screen, screen!" I yelled as KD came up for one, I went the other way tricking Trey and I headed for the basket but Exum wasn't having it this…
