Introduction

I. “I stopped believing in Santa Claus when i was six. My mother took me to see him in the mall and he asked for my autograph.”
II. Most of us aren't special enough to be asked for an autograph by Santa in life. But then again, no one was ever quite as special as little Ms. Shirley Temple.

III. Shirley Temple is known for her childhood stardom, but there is more to this star than just that. She has a small adult stardom as well as a fascinating life after her movie career was over.

A. As is the case with most Hollywood starlets, humble beginnings mark a start to a luxurious lifestyle. But the opposite can be said about Shirley Temples’ upbringing. B. Fox Studios
1. Shirly Temple was born on April 23, 1928, in Santa Monica, California
2. When Temple was just three years old her mother enrolled her in dance classes and started to capitalize on her natural talents. While she was enrolled in dance classes her mother got her a contract with the company Educational Pictures.
3. The Shirley Temple Biography states that Temple got a contract with Fox Film corporation and made her first film with them while she was 6 and later made 8 more films with them.
4. Temple was proved an overnight sensation and topped the earnings for the studio.
5. President Roosevelt called Temple a “Little Miss Miracle” for raising peoples morale during times of hardship such as the Great Depression.

1. Shirley Temple was a craze for everybody and reactions were insane.
2. According to the Shirley Temple Biography, Shirley Temple dolls were selling at a rate of 1.5 million a year
3. At the age of 8 she was performing some of the most demanding song and dance routines in the world.
4. By 1940 Temple had already stared in 44 films.
5. Her career was 9 years old while she was only 12.
6. Last big film was The Blue Bird in 1940
