Shega Family Assessment
The purpose of this paper is to complete a family assessment on a family that is at least two people in the home and have a health issue. A family assessment includes gathering information such as demographic and environment data; family structure and function; and health care function. The Shega’s family is a nuclear type of family consisting of the parents and their children. The father named Enton is 40 year old that works as truck driver here in the USA with a baccalaureate degree on English from Albania. He is been in the process of getting the permanent residence card here in the USA for a long time. The mother Edyta, 43 year old who works as Real Estate agent in Troy, Michigan moved to the States from Poland 30 years ago. They have two

They strive to provide a good role model to their kids They communicate and are open to each other in order to solve any problem that may rais between them. Edyta seems to complain a little bit more about her husband because he barely helps her with the house or the kids. Most of the times, she is the one that does the house chores, takes the kids to and from school and completes her work obligations as well. Enton spends most of the time at work and comes home late in afternoon where there is not so much to do. On his days off he spends time with his family and takes care of the chores that are outside the house. They both work and contribute in the housing financial stability and economy. This family have an open communication with each other. Every concern is communicated openly and in depth. Enton and Edyat have gone some really difficult situation several times, they even have thought about “divorce” in certain situations. However, they state that they see such crisis as a means of growth. They are able to provide physical, spiritual, emotional needs and also display a sense of play and humor.
