Financial analysis of sharp health care hospitals
Sharp health care hospitals are nonprofit health care organizations mainly located in San Diego delivering health care effectively. It has one health plan, four acute care centers, three specialty hospitals and two affiliated medical groups. All these together constitute a regional integrated health care delivery system which does its business as the sharp health care. (About Sharp, 2015)The affiliated entities of the sharp health care are as follows:

Sharp has made many adjustments for getting Net patient service revenue from the third party payers. It takes different amounts than the established amounts. Usually Accounts receivable are decreased by an allowance for doubtful accounts.
6. Sharp gets its premium revenue from contracts with many employers and health maintenance companies to provide medical services to subscribing participants. Sharp receives monthly capitation payments. (Young, 2014)
7. Apart from these Sharp also gets revenue from joint ventures, donations, gross profits from retail pharmacy etc.
Current financial position of sharp:
During the quarter ended on June 30, 2014, when the quarter ended cash of $48.8 million was produced from operations. Cash used in investing activities totalled $29.8 million and included $26.0 million used to acquire property, plant and equipment. Cash used in financing activities totalled $8.6 million for various debt related activities. (Young, 2014)
