Knox, D. and Zusman M. E. (2009) Sexuality in Black and White: Data from 783 Undergraduates. Electronic Journal of Human Sexuality, Volume12

Summary
According to the article there many issues and concerns in human sexuality that blacks and whites views differently between the two races. The sample size for this study included 783 undergrad students who attend Southeastern University. Over 100 items questionnaire were given that was approved by the Institutional Review Board of the university. In addition, there was a reason that the researchers did not used ethnic groups. There is only one race according to the researchers; however researchers looked at human biological features which has nothing to do with the ethnicity groups. They focus on the person’s biological and physical appearances which there are differences between the two classes of human-beings. Critique

Based on the research that was conducted in this article, I discover a series of issues that was brought to my attention. One question was asked within the black and white community, “which is more important in a relationship, financial security or happy marriages”. Most of the black students answered financial security, while most of the white students answered happy marriages. While these answers may be true among the two classes, we live in a here and now society. Media has a vast influence on relationship in today’s general public as well as single parent home. Moreover, this article provided vital statistic and data on human sexuality behaviors among blacks and whites as well as providing racial opinions about both classes.
