"What are gender roles? Gender roles are standards made by society based off a person's sex. Some examples of gender roles would be if the person is a woman she should be feminine and nurturing, while men should be dominant and strong. This is considered sexist. Sexism is discrimination, typically against women, based off their sex. Both females and males deal with sexism in social cultures
