Shining faces plastered with genuine smiles. Welcome, everything is welcoming that meets the eye. There is a slight breeze causing the palm tree’s fronds to sway gently. Luscious green erupts everywhere. Ubiquitous life is vibrantly flowering, all about them. The locals welcome everyone with ease to their beautiful island. This is known as the Marshall Islands and Selina Leem has devoted her whole life’s achievements to saving her homeland. Leem’s significance is massive given the fact that she is roughly 27yrs old and she started her journey when she was very young. Although young,
Teaching children a better way has become a passion of hers. This is not only her way of life, but it is her calling in life and others admire her for her achievements and her humility. She is enmeshed with her work and it is paying off greatly. In 2022 she was on tour in the “US and Europe with Small Island Big Song until May 2022.”(Medium) Selina has a way of influencing her audience that is immeasurable and her care and concern for her country is inspiring. Not only has she made an impact in the Marshall Islands, but she has been heard across the globe and that is a feat that many wish to accomplish and many cannot reach. Her delivery is pure, and her passion is felt through her actions. Selina Leem may not have been able to save her island the way that she wants to however her dedication to making a change in this world by educating our youth and showing that all lives matter is commendable.
