Self- Reflection on My Writing

My writing for essays’ isn't all that perfect, and there are some things I really need to work on. One of the first things I should attempt to work on is my vocabulary. I feel that my writing is sometimes boring and words can get extremely repetitive. Working on vocab words and their definitions in class have strengthened my word use a bit. To solve this problem, when I read over my essays, I could try and find words that seem really common, and express my creative writing by using a more complex word. For example, I can look up synonyms to different words, so I have a more intriguing prompt. Vocabulary is one of the most important parts to having an essay that people would be excited to read.

    Throughout this semester I have received a lot of input and criticism on my essays from my TA, my professor and fellow students. This semester I was fortunate to receive quick, fairly reliable, built in feedback. From the feedback that I have received by taking this class I believe that I have become a better writer as it was beneficial for the most part.     Even though my writing has progressed since the beginning of the school year, there are still a few parts that I need to improve in my writing to become a better writer. My vocabulary isn't that strong and for the second semester, I would like to start to build my vocabulary and use better words in my writing.
