Learning new ways and styles to write different kinds of papers was a good thing to add to my education and work experience. Some of the things that I have learn about myself as a writer are good and bad. A couple of good things that I learned about myself as a writer is that I was able to gain an experience on how to organize my ideas and getting them down on paper. I have also noticed that I got good at getting a working theme going on while making my writing unique while in times provoking or emotionally inspiring to a reader. I had shared some of my work with a close friend before turning it in a couple times with my rough drafts and got a couple comments on what she thought before and after reading it. The way my

The kinds of readings were a higher reading level was at times more challenging and at time it was hard to comprehend the concept or what they were talking about. Even if the reading was a higher level to comprehend I think that it’s was a good way to measure my critical thinking skills. My critical thinking skill in writing were not expressed to the max or used in all the ways I would of liked or sometimes I feel that I wasn’t able to express myself as much. The thing that I got from this term that really interested me was writing a blog on an argument being presented. I liked the fact that I was able to look for my own sources and found a way to make it my own by the form that I decided to create it. I learned that using an argument to persuade the reader to either change or rethink on the perspective. I thought that was pretty

In this task I will be reflecting upon an incident undertaken on area of my work. The model of reflection I’ve chosen is Gibbs (1988), which involves reflection on the description, feelings, evaluation, conclusion and action plan (Gibbs 1988). The Gibbs (1988) reflective cycle is fairly straightforward and encourages a clear description of the situation, analysis of feelings, evaluation of the experience, analysis to make sense of the experience, conclusion where other options are considered and reflection upon experience to examine what you would do if the situation arose again. The procedure in which I will be reflecting upon is Last offices; I chose this due to how constructive and valuable it was in my personal and professional development as a student practitioner nurse.…

I learned two major things about my writing skills during this class. First, when presenting an essay for peer review, make sure that it is not a very rough draft. Second, the types of essay styles can change easily when writing. Even though my paper is supposed to be expository, using certain words and tone can create a totally different essay style.…

In the past a thousand weeks, I feel like I have accomplished a great deal. As the quarter ends, I find myself reflecting not only how I have survived my fifth quarter but also what I have learned. The most important thing I have learned so far is how to become a better writer. I did not think it could really happen to me. I did not think I could handle all the work. I did not think I could actually become a better writer. Somehow, after all the hours of writing, and putting effort into my papers that I wrote in this quarter, I became a better writer. I did this because I concentrated on two very important areas. With help from an awesome teacher and my partner, I have become a better writer by improving my skills in the areas of procrastination and content.…

At the beginning of the semester my writing lacked flow, sentence variety, and wasn't something I was very proud of. I hated writing essays and I never spent much time revising them; my first draft was my final draft. I began the semester with a goal in mind, my goal was to take everything I learned in the class to heart, and to incorporate it into my writing to the best of my ability. As time progressed, I have improved my ability to create flow in my writing, my sentences vary in length, and I have created a few pieces of writing I am very proud of. I am very thankful to have learned such a vast amount of information about writing and what steps to take in order to create my best piece of…

I prefer to be true to myself, even at the endangerment of finding the ridicule of others, rather than to be false, and finding my own detestation. Why should I worry about what others think of me? I don’t give a shit about how others perceive my personality because to begin with, I know myself and I also know my own demons — in which, at the outset, are just conventional behaviors of an ordinary human being.…

As nervous as I was when I walked into Saint Joseph Catholic School (K-8) for my first day of kindergarten, I never thought I would be able to leave after 6th grade and enter the world of middle school. In a small school of about 400 kids, I was familiar with every face that passed by me in the hallway. I got to know the kids in my grade so well and we all knew each other’s life stories. By the time I was in 6th grade at Saint Joseph, some of my friends were planning on going to Kinard middle school in 7th grade. At this point in my life, I was not completely content with where I was going to school. The realization came to me that it was time to move on. It was time for me to try something new.…

I think the most important thing I learned this semester is that writing does not have to be a daunting task and that writing is about what one does with the knowledge he has.…
