Self-Practice Summary

RN has evaluated self-practice on standard transmission-based precautions to prevent the spread of infection in the health care setting according to JCAHO. RN continues to provide safe quality care for patients and follows JCAHO guidelines for infection control. RN has assisted unit educator/infection control RN with monthly staff observation reviews recording staff’s practices on hand hygiene and infection control compliance. RN has educated staff 1:1 on proper hand hygiene and infection control measures if break in compliance is noted during observation. RN educates patient and families on need for hand hygiene and infection control measures specific to patient. This has increased the knowledge of staff, patients, and family members
