My life is an unusual one. My work schedule has me getting up before the sun rises and getting home before lunch time. After I get home, my time is mostly occupied by my two year old daughter. Then, I cook dinner and usually go to bed before the sun sets. Because of the nature of this lifestyle, there is not much time for things like exercise or any other physical activity. Do not get me wrong. I do participate in some mild physical activity associated with chasing my daughter around outside on a nice day or inside when the weather does not cooperate, but I would hardly call that exercise. On top of that, because of my daily routine, I do not have time to really concentrate on what I am…

When I have a load of work to do, I manage my time efficiently by sitting down, playing music, with no distractions, and get work done before the assignment’s due date. As soon as I receive a task, whether it be due in a month or the next week, I write it down in my planner, phone, and computer to remind myself to complete my homework. 1. Make to do lists. This is something that I already do to a degree in my personal life, but not as often as I should. I plan on implementing this to help me achieve my educational goals. Personally when I complete tasks on my lists I feel a sense of accomplishment and have more desire to tackle some of the harder tasks on my list. I will begin to implement this time management skill with this class, and carry it over to block 2 through Gateway Community College.…

Some activity is great for you, whether it's bike riding, figuring out mathematical equations or simply cooking dinner. Inactivity serves it's purpose by controlling the amount of activities you do for your own sake. Also, you've got to have time to think. It's a necessity to collect your thoughts every chance you get. Don't work so much to the point where you can't even think. Your mind is sensitive, so don't overuse it because you only get one. The only thing you'll accomplish is suffering. To summarize, Thomas Jefferson's theory of ''being active all the time is good'' is completely wrong. You always need to take time to rest, think and give your mind a break. You'll get more done than you'd think. You'll accomplish not overusing your mind and body. Accomplishment isn't always about how much you can get…

The goals I set myself are extremely high and almost seem unrealistic. Nonetheless, this is what give me the motivation and strive I need to put in a great deal of effort. Postponing undesirable activities is what I seem to be a natural at, cramming to get them completed when time is limited. It is in that rushed state that I feel my mind works most efficiently. However, we all know this is a poor work method and that is why I set such high goals to make it seem unrealistic. By doing that, I insure I start the activity at a sooner time because it feels as if I have more to complete than actually necessary. That way, I can keep my eye on the target at all times because it makes me feel as if I have much work to do to achieve it…
