He's encouraging people to think for themselves and form their own individual thoughts.

And like most of the popular debate in the world it has no concrete answer, it totally depends on a person’s beliefs actually. For some it is a benefit for others a disadvantage. Throughout the years, there has been much debate with schools across the country on whether or not students should be allowed to wear uniforms. Through past experience with this argument, it’s safe to say that wearing a uniform is not a bad thing at all. Why? For one, uniforms stop other students from being judged on how they look, two, they save families money and students will not pressure their parents into buying clothes some families can’t afford, and lastly uniforms increase safety and security. So I do strongly agree that students should be able to wear uniforms.…

Public schools across the United States have been dealing with the issue of dress codes. As of 2008, twenty-two U.S. states specifically authorized schools to institute dress codes or uniform policies (8). School boards may generally create and enforce dress code, but they must do so without violating students’ constitutional law (9). Schools are finding difficulty in enforcing their dress code among students. Parents feel as if the schools dress codes are condoning their students for expressing themselves and say that it is unconstitutional and wrong. Parents, students, and administrators all have the idea of uniforms in the back of their mind but, they will have to give up things to have them. Though a dress code for high schools students is appropriate, uniforms would be a better option.…

School Uniforms School uniforms have been debated about since the 1900’s and are still talked about to this day. Initially favored by private schools, uniforms have slowly snuck their way into the public school system. People in favor of uniforms say they make school safer, whereas others with opposing beliefs say they infringe upon students individuality. (newsela.com) In this essay, I will explain why school uniforms should not be a requirement in ANY schools. The main reason school uniforms should not be enforced is because it restricts students freedom of expression.…

The essay school uniforms are a terrible idea states that. School uniforms fail to achieve the goals for which a school uniform was established suck as to save students money to, to prevent violence, and create a more organized school environment. The essay also states the uniforms restrict student’s freedom of expression. That school uniforms have led to more violence and that since no studies have yet proven that a uniform policy can solve more problems than they create. This is not necessarily true and uniform policies are not nearly as terrible as the essay would like us to believe. The essay states that the intent of school uniforms was to save students money but that instead of saving money they cost more money and that the writers brother’s uniform cost much more that any outfit from a discount store so it concludes that the uniform policy should be discarded but it is based on the assumption that just because his/her brother’s uniform cost more than regular clothing then every uniform must cost more than regular clothing. She/he commits the logical fallacy of false analogy. My school uniform only cost me around twenty dollars when a t-shirt from a store like forever21 cost me thirty-four dollar. She then claims that if every student was required to pay as much as her/his brother then many students would not be able to afford an education and concludes that uniforms are a very bad idea. But this based on the assumption that because his/her brother would not be able to afford school that many other would also not be able to afford an education which is not necessarily true. She/he commits the logical fallacy of false analogy. Many of my friends would be able to afford a uniform when their parents have high paying jobs. In her next argument she/ he call principals who put forth a uniform policy tyrannical and school boards puritanical and say that they are denying poor students constitutional rights.…

After several not-so-great experiences I have had in the school district, I think I have come up with a long-term solution to increasing amounts of disrespect and subordination both among the students and the faculty. I grew up in a parochial school in New York City. In St. Andrews we had to wear school uniforms. The memories of my childhood aren't filled with unforgivable actions towards me, and people picking on each other about what clothes they are wearing. The most trouble I ever remember getting myself into was during the first or second grade when I lost one of my phonetics books. Never do I remember fights in school or any threat of violence. Considering the fact that this was a different time, it was only a few years ago. I personally feel that uniforms can help to create a more structured environment.…

Others argue the importance of school uniforms but in reality, they can break the school and families down. In conclusion, I believe that school uniforms really don’t have a use and should not be used in schools. They limit students ability to express themselves through their clothing. They also don’t help with bullying and violence, they even make it worse. Lastly they don’t help with grades and attendance in school. There is no legitimate reason for schools to make their students wear these school uniforms and I believe that we should exclude school uniforms from all…

    Opposing School Uniforms

I have three or more points on why I am for school uniforms and why others are against uniforms. When students wear school uniforms, it shows what school they belong. For instance, if there were no uniform policy, anyone could walk into the school building fitting into the crowd with everyone else and the employees of the school would not know who belongs and who doesn’t belong. There could be a stranger waiting in the boys or girls bathroom waiting to harm one of the students. If the schools go with the uniform policy, this will help stop this action from occurring. If…

    s. There are so many strong opinions about what direction parents, students, and administrators want to go in. It has been argued that school uniforms have the potential to make a school safer, that uniforms reduce bullying or self-image issues, and that uniforms return the focus to the students' education. I disagree. I actually think that school uniforms do not help make our schools a safer place, I think that they do not return the focus to student's education - they just shift where the focus was before, and that they will not help cut down on bullying or self-issues in school.…

My opponent claims that school uniforms should not aloud in schools. Nevertheless, some critics say school uniforms kill individuality, while this might be true, they have not look at the other factors of school uniforms. If we were to have school uniforms, girls would not have that extra pressure to look a certain way, while it may kill the individuality, school is about learning not what you are wearing. In addition, critics also argue that uniforms are expensive which is completely tomfoolery. If u added up all the clothes you buy all year for school to “look good” and “pretty,” or that one uniform that you will wear all year, everyone will come to the conclusion that uniforms are extensively cheaper. Lastly, they argue that school uniforms…
