School Declaration of Independence When in the course of student events, the school has taken away some of our natural rights as scholars. The school has taken our right of dressing how we please. The security guards treat do not treat us with kindness. They are feared by my fellow students who are too afraid to speak up against such cruelty. The teachers who don’t reach for our full potential have added to our rebellion. Our voices and suggestions are not heard by the principal or his followers. The rules that the school requires us to follow has contributed to our rebellion. Lastly, not every student is treated fairly. Because the school tells students what to wear, and what not to wear, some students have decided not to follow the silly dress code. We should have the freedom to dress however we want. The security guards yell at us for small things. Walking up the wrong flight of stairs might cause us to be late to class, especially if we are in a hurry to our next class. They force us to go back and walk the supposedly right way into the crowd of people. They shout at us when they over hear some fowl words that accidently slip out. Some teachers at Citrus Hills do not bother to truly their students. They are just there to earn their pay, not to properly educate our young minds. They leave it to us to learn the material. How will we ever learn if no one bothers to teach us? They give us work that will never be graded. The leaders of the school do not bother to hear what we have to say. Our own suggestions could help us grow into better adults. Our suggestions could change our student life for the better. Some students are treated more kind and fairly teachers. Students who are not teacher’s pets get little attention. Teachers claim that they treat everyone fairly, but that is not true at all. We, the students of Citrus Hills would like to declare freedom from this school. We want freedom. We all want to be treated with fairness and respect. We want to be free of silly rules. We thirst for the gates of liberty.
