Saving Lots Of Money: Should Schools Be Paid?
Sports have interfered with students and have been making kids not having the time for school work. Sports have interfered with students academic grades, homework, and sleep. Therefore, schools should get rid of sports to save money for new supplies, allow students to catch up on their work, and classrooms get dirty or messed up.
With the elimination of sports, schools will save lots of money. “So Superintendent Ernest Singleton made a bold decision: He canceled all the sports doing this he realized, the district could save $150,000 in one year” (10). “Also, just the equipment can cost thousands of dollars, new bleachers can cost half a million dollars and maintain a grass field can cost more than 20,000 dollars a year” (10).
