The countdown begins, 3-2-1… the third bull is released, set free onto the crowd of white and red on the floor of the arena. The bull runs towards a man in red who no longer has the bravery to remain in the Plaza del Toros. Yet as the man in red jumps the barrier separating the innocent onlookers from the daring participants, the bull follows. Sanfermines, commonly known as the Running of the Bulls, was just one of the incredible experiences that I had this past summer during a month-long immersion program in northern Spain.
