HERVORRAGENDE PSYCHOLOGISCHE TESTZENTRUM
(Excellent Psychological Testing Center)

A Psychological Report for
Reeman Clyde Navales Mañacap
October 2012

I. Profile: Name: Reeman Clyde Navales Mañacap Age: 19 years, 1 month, and 15 days old School: University of San Carlos – Technological Center
II. Referral Statement The client was referred by his teacher, Ms. Joan Christine Fortich, at Hervorragende Psychologische Testzentrum (Excellent Psychological Testing Center) to take three ability tests which are requirements to his Psychology 121Y course and to assess his general abilities that could serve him the best purposes for his application for an On-The-Job Training in the upcoming semester.
III. Test Taken The client was referred on a Monday and he took the test two weeks after. Since three tests will be administered to him, he had to come back to Hervorragende Psychologische Testzentrum three times for three months, that is, he would take a single test for a month. However, the client was able to take the Kuhlmann-Anderson Test (KAT) upon his admission to University of San Carlos and the results were still accessible so I decided to just let him take the remaining two tests and he would come back to the testing center for only two months. Name of Test | Type of Test | Date Taken | 1. Kuhlmann-Anderson Test (KAT) | Intelligence Test | June 11, 2010 | 2. Otis-Lennon School Ability Test (OLSAT) | Ability Test | August 28, 2012 | 3. General Ability Measures for Adults (GAMA) | Ability Test | October 2, 2012 |
Table 1.0. The tests administered to the client R.C. Mañacap Table 1.0 shows the three tests that client took. The Kuhlmann-Anderson Test (KAT) is an intelligence test that the client took when he was first admitted to college. The KAT was the tool used by USC for their entrance examinations. The Kuhlmann–Anderson Test (KAT) measures academic potential by assessing cognitive skills related to the learning process which was developed by Dr. Frederick

This approach was related with the psychologist Sigmund Freud. He suggested that the mind is made out of 3 parts the conscious level, preconscious and unconscious level. He believes the unconscious mind is important as many of our memories, feelings and past experiences are locked up in this part. He says we can’t access these contents but they often ‘leak out’ in dreams or by the slip of the tongue whilst talking. According to Freud the conscious mind represents the tip of the iceberg. Most of our experiences and memories are either pre-conscious or unconscious. Unconscious meanings under the surface- hard to reach just like that. There are 6 psychosexual…

How accurate are the profiles? This will obviously depend on the expertise of the persons involved in such an assessment. Kocsis, Orwin, & Hayes (2000) reported that profilers appear to have higher skills when compared to other groups. They claim the most accurate groups are, in order of accuracy: professional profilers, psychologists, students, police officers, and self-declared psychics. That psychologists ranked second in the study suggests that psychologists are better at this endeavor than police officers, perhaps because of their understanding of human behavior. The researchers also reported that psychics are the least reliable of the groups. They apparently depend more on the stereotypes of murderers than of a true understanding of the mind and mentality of a killer. The research also suggests that police probably would do better at profiling if they were educated in the principles of the process (Peterson, 1997). Thus profiling, or criminal investigation assessment, is an educated attempt to provide investigative agencies with specific information as to the type of individual who committed a certain crime (Geberth, 1981). Of course, profiles are not suitable in all cases, even in some murder cases (Holmes & Holmes, 1992, 2000). They are usually more efficacious in cases where the unknown perpetrator has displayed indications of…

Stress tends to affect the brain in many ways, however, it is due to trauma at different stages in life that will presumably have different effects on the brain, for instance, it can lead to Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. When my father was a child he saw an uncle of his killed by a Doberman Pincher, this caused him to become a victim of PTSD. The PTSD transformed the manner in which he reacts to Dobermans and all other types of dogs he comes in contact. As a child, my siblings and I were never allowed to have any sort of pet. It was as if it were a sin to come into contact with an animal. However, now that Abraham, who is the oldest of the boys in the family, married an animal fanatic they own; a horse, three miniature ponies, two dogs which…
