He performed many miracles throughout his life. Some of them are when he healed the blind, raised the dead, survived being placed with fierce animals, calmed storms and even defeated armies simply by crossing his arms. One of the many virtues I think he displays is persistence. I think he displays persistence because when people doubted Jesus and God he continued to preach the good news of Jesus. Another virtue he displayed during his life was loyalty. I believe he showed loyalty to Jesus and God because he believed and followed Jesus throughout his …show more content…
With your friend Saint John you remained with Jesus for that first day, for your entire life, and now throughout eternity. As you led your brother Saint Peter to Christ and many others after him, draw us also to Him.
Teach us to lead others to Christ solely out of love for Him and dedication in His service. Help us to learn the lesson of the Cross and to carry our daily crosses without complaint so that they may carry us to Jesus.
Amen

Explanation

St. Andrew demonstrated this prayer throughout his life because he followed Jesus as his disciple. He listened to John the Baptist while he was preaching and when he pointed to Jesus and said,”He is the son of a God and the holy one.” Instantly Andrew was interested in him and wondered about God and heaven. This is how Andrew demonstrated this prayer in his life.

This mission reminds us that for the Kingdom of God to continue to break in, individual lives need to be changed, while being motivated and equipped for transformation. Our Book of Discipline offers this cue: “God has used our church to save persons, heal relationships, transform social structures, and spread scriptural holiness, thereby changing the world.” When we change lives and introduce people to the all-loving nature of God, we indeed transform the world. When making disciples, the Church welcomes people into community, educates them on God’s call for Christians, and equips them toward using their spiritual gifts to serve as change agents playing a role in bringing about the Kingdom of…

The life of Saint Benedict dramatically shaped Christianity development through the impacts of Benedicts Law on monarchism and my ministry today. Saint Benedict was born in about the year 480 AD. Many of the milestones in Benedict’s life are approximations as is the year of his birth. The only dated event of his life was in 542 AD when he was visited by a king at Monte Cassino. We know that he was an older man when he was visited by this king because he died shortly after the visit. St. Benedict was born in Nursia which is now Norcia in the province of Ubbria. Many believe his father was a Roman noble. We do not know the names of Benedict’s father and mother. Benedict had a twin sister named Scholastica, who is also a saint. When Benedict came of age he was sent to school in Rome to learn to be a noble man. He became very disillusioned with the corruption in Rome and with the lack of discipline he noticed from his peers. He left Rome and his education in order to live in solitude and discern God’s will.…

We learned in the Baltimore Catechism that the reason God made us was to know, love, and serve him in this world and be with him forever in the next. Three of our favorite prayers are the Lord's Prayer, the Our Father, the Hail Mary (or Ave Maria), and the Rosary. The Our Father is the prayer of hope given to us by Jesus himself in the Sermon on the Mount, recorded in the Gospel of Matthew (6:9-13). The Scriptural basis for the Hail Mary is from the Gospel of Luke (1:26-42). The Blessed Virgin Mary is the Mother of Jesus Christ, the Son of God (Mark 1:1, Acts 9:20, Romans 1:4). As Jesus is both God and man, Mary is the Mother of…
