Rizal and his times, 19th Century

Before Rizal was born, there’s already chaos promulgated in other countries the liberal Czar Alexander II put an action on the issue about the rising of the Russian masses which was from 1855 to 1881. Rizal’s birth was during the time of the American Civil War (1861-65) that started on April 12, 1861. It was said that Pres. Lincoln released his famous Emancipation Proclamation on September 22.1863 giving the freedom for the Negro Slaves.

American Civil War started due to the issue of Negro Slavery the war raged more when Emperor Napoleon III of the Second French Empire decided to have a colonial state on the Latin America which was ruled by Zapotec Indian, the elected president of Mexico during that time. It was President Juarez who’ asking for a military help to his friend Pres. Lincoln of the United States of America. Pres. Lincoln resist the idea of French invaders with the help of Indian and Mexican freedom soldiers. To have a proposal in Mexico, Napoleon III, elected Maximilian of Austria as a puppet leader of Mexico don June 12, 1864. It was then after the American Civil War when Juarez defeated Maximilian’s French forces in the Battle of Queretaro on May 15,1867) and was executed on June 19,1867.

The chaos didn’t end when the American Civil War had their ceased fire. Another revolutionary action took place with the Italians under the supervision of Count Cavour and Garibaldi and his army of ‘red shirts’ they wiped out the Austrians and the French armies on Italy and proclaimed
