Friendship is a very complicated relationship. It really varies on who is friends and how close they are. Everyone's friendship is different. Friendship really is two or more people who care for each other and will always be there for eachother. Its trust, loyalty and love. Friendship, when it is real, is the real true love. Romeo had his cousin and the prince's cousin who had a brotherly friendship. Mercutio, the prince's cousin and Benvolio Romeo's cousin had a close understanding of each other. Benvolio swore to make sure Romeo was okay and promised he would find out what's bothering him. Mercutio stuck up for Romeo and fought Tybalt, even though it ended in his own death and Romeo avenged Mercutio's death by killing Tybalt even though he knew by doing that he was risking his own life. Just before Romeo went after Tybalt he shouted down the streets of Verona “ Alive in Triumph and Mercutio slain? Away to heaven respective lenity, and fire-eyed fury be my conduct now! Now Tybalt take the “ villain” back again. That late thou gavest me: for Mercutio's soul is but little way above our heads staying for thine to keep him company. Either thou or I, both must go with him.” ( III, i, 119-126) Romeo here is promising himself he will get revenge for Mercutio. The mentor cares deeply about the person and truly cares for them. The want to watch them succeed. You might have a mentor to get advice from, someone to just talk to, or to get help. Both Romeo and Juliet had mentors in their life who guided them. In this plays case the mentors were better than the real parents.Juliet's mentor was her nurse. This nurse raised Juliet, taking care of her, shaping her into the person she would've become if she had not died. Juliet's mother was not there for all of her childhood and the nurse was a closer figure to Juliet that Lady capulet ever was. Romeo's mentor was Friar LAwrence, who agreed to marry them behind their parents back. He advised Romeo on what the best designs were. Even though Friar Lawrence knew that these two young adults getting married was not a good idea he still helped. Through all of the troubles Romeo and Juliet got thrown at them the Friar helped them try to stay together. Friar Lawrence said “O she knew well, Thy love did read by rote, that could not spell.
