Rita Dove 2016 Commencement Speech Summary

In poet Rita Dove's 2016 commencement address, she outlines a large difference between what the definitions of a commencement speaker and a poet are – that is to "dispense life advice" or leave well wishes with the graduating class – to introduce the structure of her speech.
