Introduction
Winter Olympic game is a bid event for Australian sport. The Australia Winter Olympic team had been very success on the Vancouver winter Olympic game 2010 with rank 13th. They had 2 gold medals and 1 silver medal which is the best result ever in the history. We expect another good outcome will come in the Sochi winter Olympic game 1014 in Russia. To achieve our goal, we have to have a good plan and preparation for the important event will occur in three years. The most important part to make a plan and strategy is understanding the risk that we might face. We can’t avoid the risk completely so we have to take that risk and have the right strategy to response to the risk. The purpose of these papers are doing the risk assessment and plan the response strategy to minimise the negative risk and maximise the positive risk to get more opportunity to be success in the winter Olympic game 2014 in Sochi, Russia. We will do the risk break down structure to break down all the risk in any level and catalogue in the group so we can have a overall picture of the risk that we might face in the whole process. We will identify the risk and analyse every single risk event. We will analyse the probability and the consequence of the risk and rating the risk to find the potential of the risk event. Base on the risk probability and consequence of the risk we will make the response strategy and the response method. We will make a risk registration and give some recommendation to prevent the negative effect of the risk and maximise the opportunity for the team.
