EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Risk is the possibility of suffering loss. In a project, loss denotes negative impact on a project, which could be in the form of diminished quality of end product, increased cost, delayed completion or failure. Analysis and timely control of risk is essential for the success of any programme or project in an organization.

Risk is inherent in almost every business decision. More so in capital budgeting as they involve cost and benefits extending over a long period of time during which many things can change in unanticipated ways.
