When the price of very institution responsible for the betterment of the society has sky rocketed in the past 30 years, many young and aspiring high school graduates find it difficult and challenging to attend a college. (Source C) Although this is true, colleges provide student with unparalleled experience of learning and increase their quality of life as well as help to explore their passion. While critics argue that if the aim is to be able financially, one must not go through the hassle of college merely to earn a living. (Source A) However, college also elevates the freedom of creativity and expressions of new innovations and ideas.
Foremost, college implements an adventure of knowledge to the seeker. College gives an environment to the students where the “experience of meaningful freedom” (Source B) is carried from the classrooms of university to the households of community. Moreover, college encourages a habit of regular learning and education to its students. College also bring ideas and changes necessary to the society and allow the advancement of a new vision through the practices of traditional yet effective learning system. The rising cost of college is often seen as an important factor for many families and students in deciding to attend college. The truth of the matter is college actually does not cost much after the financial aid, averaging “only about $2,000” (Source D) for tuition and fee. What is astounding is the fact that college graduates make “$20,000 more a year as a result of having gotten a degree.” (Source F) It is also true that college graduates are more likely to be employed compared to the ones without a degree.
