Summary and Main Idea:
The article is all about the Reproductive Health Bill's worthiness. It is said here that this bill will require the government to fund the devices such as pills and IUD's that will be used in controlling the population. We all know that poverty is visible to big families. The government doesn't want this to happen anymore. That's why they are pushing this but, the Catholic Bishop's Council of the Philippines is not agreeing with this. They said that through this RH Bill many human beings will be killed and there will be abortion, more adultery, female impoverishment and the like. New ideas learned: This article taught me that if you have a bigger family there's a big probability that you may undergo poverty than having a small one. My outlook towards having a big family changed because they said before that it would be better if you're going to have many siblings because in the future they will be a great help. Words from the text that I want to use in my own writing: I want to use the words impoverishment and deleterious in my own writing next time because it is my first time to read these words. Ideas I agree/disagree with: I agree with the CBCP's decision in rejecting this bill because yes, it is really true that whenever you use condoms, pills and other birth control stuff you kill a human being. I don't want to be a killer. I am sure that if you are a hygienic person you can still prevent sex-related diseases. Reactions and Comments: Actually I am a Pro but after reading this article i realized that there are other ways. This article gave me an idea that the government may use this bill for corruption because they will use our fund here. They may be not be honest in implementing this bill. One more thing, whatever angle you looked at this bill...
