Review Of 'The Alchemist'
Douglas Everett once said "There are some people who live in a dream world, and there are some who face reality, and then there are those who turn one into the other." A dreamer will always stay a dreamer unless they put their dreams in action, as Santiago did, in The Alchemist. This quote is quite evident throughout the novel and life, and many people don't even realize that they have a Personal Legend, which is their only obligation in life. We are all dreamers, and we all desire to achieve our Personal Legend. Have you started the climb up your

Dreams are often a way to find comfort in bad times by dreaming of what career path to take, how many children to have, or who to grow old with. However, dreams are also a way to escape from the harsh reality that a person’s life is not always what it seems. Of Mice and Men explains two characters, Lennie and George, who are traveling farmhands. They both have a dream of owning a house with a few acres, a cow, some pigs, a large vegetable garden, some chickens, and have some rabbits (paraphrased Steinbeck 14). These men have had this dream ever since they began working and traveling together.…

We all have our childhood dreams - whether it was to become an astronaut, firefighter, photographer or even a professional athlete. However, not many people actually follow these dreams. People tend to dream about everything we encounter or think, whether it is about our career, family or love. We create these fantasies in our head about what we want to become a reality. People often get disappointed due to our dreams not becoming reality and due to human nature, we tend to give up. Giving up is not an option in my mind and it will never be. The Great Gatsby stated “No amount of fire or freshness can challenge what a man will store up in his ghostly heart” and I agree and disagree with that statement.…
