Review: Lion Witch And The Wardrobe
Dear C.S. Lewis

The book Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe to me represents people’s life as christians. When the siblings were away from Narnia they still had it in their hearts, and it showed on their outward appearance. When they were not in Narnia they had the same positive attitude they had when they were there. So, how it changed my point of view is that I should live my everyday life with christ in my heart. Also I need to look at people by who they are and not by their looks. When they were not in Narnia they had the same positive attitude they had when they were there.

The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe really changed how I look at people in my daily life. The book, showed me that certain experiences can change your life and how

C.S. Lewis’s “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” can be seen as a spiritual allegory. The entire book has either subtle or somewhat blatant references to Christianity, and other religions. With references to Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection, Adam and Eve; it is pretty clear that Lewis intended his novel to parallel with Christian themes. But also having some elements of Paganism, Lewis portrays elements of the natural world and respecting it, much like how in the Pagan religion is about worshiping nature. Lewis also integrates the themes of betrayal, and compassion and courage into the plot and the characters of the novel. Though each character may not have a direct reference to Christian themes or other religious doctrines, the…

The allegorical connection between the wicked witch of the east is that she represents the industrial bankers of the east. The reason why the wicked witch of the east connects to the historical counterpart of the eastern bakers is because they have similarities such as , when the eastern bankers and lending figuratively enslaved farmers with their incredibly high interest rates on loans, the wicked witch had did something similar but she had enslaved the munchkins and the munchkins historical counterpart were the farmers.Another reason why the wicked witch of the east is connected to the eastern bankers is because, when the house landed on the wicked witch of the east that represented the end of the silver standard. In truth, I could say everything does. Every exposure a person has changes them. I'm never the same person I was the day before. Every piece of media I consume, every experience I have refines my thinking. I gain perspective, understanding, or knowledge from everything I consume. It is rare, however, that one book changes a person as much as The Book Thief changed me, made me reconsider and analyze a lot about my life and others. It helped me to appreciate a lot of things and previously I had not, and that is only the conscience effect that it had. I am always grateful to find something that challenges me, something I can learn something from; whether it be about myself or the world as a…

You are mistaken when you think that everything in the books 'represents' something in this world. Things do that in The Pilgrim's Progress but I'm not writing in that way. I did not say to myself 'Let us represent Jesus as He really is in our world by a Lion in Narnia': I said 'Let us suppose that there were a land like Narnia and that the Son of God, as He became a Man in our world, became a Lion there, and then imagine what would have happened.' If you think about it, you will see that it is quite a different thing. (Hooper 425)…
