Resilience Argument Analysis
The article is highly relevant to a current situation I’m dealing with at work. My job is constantly changing and my team is currently suffering from low morale due to a few recent changes. I was intrigued by Professor M.E.P. Seligman's model of using five key elements to promote the creation of positive emotions (Harrington, 2012). I plan to re-read the article to get a better understanding of this model so that I may utilize the techniques with my team. In her conclusion, Harrington states, “Resilience is the development of psychological strength to assist the individual to overcome and grow from challenges” (2012, p.4). That thought alone encompasses exactly what has to be done in order for my team and myself to get back into a positive
