Relationship Between Unoka And Nwoye
Okonkwo is cruel to many people and Unoka and Nwoye are no exception. Unoka is Okonkwo’s father and he is known for how lazy and in debt he is. Nwoye is also known to be lazy. Okonkwo despises failure and in his mind, being lazy is just that. How Okonkwo acts towards his father and son are very just so this makes him very sympathetic.
In the case of Unoka, he deserves all the neglect he got from his son. He had a family and could barely even provide for them. All because of how lazy he was. He did not care about his main responsibility like a true father should. Okonkwo was cruel to him for a good reason.
For Nwoye, the story isn’t very much different. Nwoye is Okonkwo’s son and even then he still neglects him. Okonkwo really does not like
