HOMILY

In the homily, Father Eric said that in life even the Lord told us the truth that He is the Son of God. He also said that life is really short. He told us that we must wake up and face the truth that because that life is short, we will not have enough time for us to show that we really love the person’s that we truly love, like our parents and our friends. To sacrifice and to love are two things that we need to learn from today’s Gospel which is we are called to have the initiative to show our love to our parents. We must not let them show their love first before showing ours. And maybe a few years from now we will be able to turn back in time and remember that we already experienced to love and to sacrifice for our loved ones and especially, for the Lord.

REFLECTION

In this homily, I have reflected that time is really short and I must show my parents that I really love them even if it is hard for people like me, or in my age, to express our love to them. I learned that God wants me to learn to love and to sacrifice not just for myself, but also for others because one day, I will be able to look back at all the things I have done while I was still young and I will be able to say that I was able to show my love to all the people that I love and to all the people who loves me. And of course, to be able to do this successfully, I must ask God’s guidance and pray to Him to help me show my love to whoever I want and to help me do sacrifices for me, for all the people I love, and for Him as

Some may argue that the greatest love story to date is Romeo and Juliet: the love; the passion; the unlikely pair. Although Romeo and Juliet may be a great tale of two unlikely lovers, it could never compare to Our Christian Story. However, throughout these two renowned stories, elements of love and sacrifice can be demonstrated frequently. Out of love, we are able to make sacrifices for those whom which we hold dear to our hearts; when humanity betrayed God by consuming fruit from the forbidden tree, He displayed an unconditional love by sending His only son, Jesus Christ, to absolve us from sin. This represents a vital bond of love that has, over time, remained between God and humanity, but to experience this bliss we must freely embrace…

"And now you have an extraordinary opportunity, a day wherein Christ has thrown the door of mercy wide open, and stands in calling and crying with a loud voice to poor sinners; a day wherein many are flocking to him, and pressing into the kingdom of God. Many are daily coming from the east, west, north and south; many that were very lately in the same miserable condition that you are in, are now in a happy state, with their hearts filled with love to him who has loved them, and washed them from their sins in his…

I ask You, in the Name of Jesus, Father, to open my eyes and my heart and my head to this task before me and the meaning of Your Word. Father God, still my thoughts and allow me to focus on this until I see it through. You know the condition of my heart, Father, cleanse me of everything right now Father, forgive me for my shortcomings and attitudes, fill me with Your Love and Understanding for Your Word, for my family, in all things. Amen.…

This week’s devotional includes a scripture that is one I tend to reflect on daily in my pursuit of displaying a Christ like character. Though my deeds could never compare to those of Jesus I eagerly look for opportunities to show his kindness through my actions. I’ve learned from experience that our job is to take care of God’s people he will take care of us. Over the years my appreciation of being a servant to the things of Christ has grown, today I enjoy every aspect of bearing the cross. Some believe that when you get saved you become exempt from the reality of life however in my opinion being a devoted helper to those in need takes a special anointing along with a compassionate understanding heart.…

Chapter 10 is entitled Conflict Management in Groups. This is a very essential chapter for all members of a group to read and understand. Fortunately, my group members and I have not had a problem with getting along. It just so happened that four members of my group already know each other from another class they are in together. So, they already got along and had some connection with one another. I think we all have good personalities and we enjoy working with each other. The characteristics of our group allow us to be a successful group. The semester is coming to an end, and we have worked hard together to perform all tasks and accomplish all our goals. Getting to the stage where we are now involved a lot of comprimising and negotiating. So, the two terms I would like to concentrate on from Chapter 10 is compromise…

Dear friends, have your read the above excerpt from the scriptures, isn't it great? Yes friends our Lord Jesus christ loves us so much and he came to this world and gave his own life for you and me on the cross. you may ask me the question, why did he die for me? my loving friends , I will tell you the answer. He came to this world to become an atonement sacrifice, to atone and consecrate us from the curses and stain of our transgressions and iniquities. Lord Jesus christ loves you more than any one else would love you. Let me tell you a real story I witnessed, that made me flabbergasted. I was travelling in a train, and I saw a poor child dancing and doing stunts, while her mother was sitting in a corner creating music out of a plate to add flavour to the performance. This poor child was poorly dressed and very thin and weak. The grief in its heart could be easily viewed in its face. Finally the mother sent her to beg money from all the people who were watching her stunts. The very scene of the begging of the child was really grieveous. Then the Lord spoke with me through the bible verse , which I have writted at the top. I realised then , that the LORD loves this child and have got moved with compassion more than any one else in this world , even more than her father and mother. The lord Jesus christ is the son of the Almighty God . we cannot reach God without the LORD JESUS CHRIST. If you believe him today, he will surely save you from all the problems you are facing now. My dear friend you might be reading this with grief in your heart,…

We are continuing our sermon series “Developing a Thankful Heart” We often talk about thankfulness in November as we approach the Thanksgiving holiday. The Thanksgiving season is a unique opportunity to express our gratitude to God for His blessings. However, for those of us who are followers of Jesus Christ, giving thanks should be a way of life every day of the year. Our goal in this series of messages is to learn how to be genuinely thankful people at all times, regardless of our circumstances. We are learning this by examining the principles in the Lord’s Prayer that motivate us to be thankful.…

There are a lot of books that have been written over what the different spiritual gifts are and how they are supposed to be used. There are quite a few verses in the New Testament that covers the spiritual gifts and how we are to use them. In 1 Corinthians 12:4-8 we are told, “Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the sane God who empowers them all in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same spirit.” The Bible…
